Darwin Community Legal Service Inc. (DCLS) is a free and confidential service in the Northern Territory that supports community members to protect their legal rights. They advocate to resolve issues of injustice and disadvantage through legal advice, advocacy, and support services. DCLS aims to empower the community through social justice and promote understanding of rights, justice, and inclusion.

Outcomes

Launch of new services: Launched the Northern Territory’s first specialised Queer Legal Service to support LGBTQIASB+ Territorians.
Advocacy and awareness regarding NDIS issues: Raised awareness about unscrupulous NDIS providers using gifts to recruit and retain remote residents with disabilities in the Northern Territory, and warned against Federal Budget NDIS changes.
