Very Special Kids
About
Very Special Kids operates Victoria's only children's hospice and provides comprehensive family support services for children with life-threatening conditions, offering respite care, end-of-life support, and bereavement services from diagnosis through to recovery. The charity supports over 900 families across Victoria through a network of regional offices and relies on over 1,000 volunteers alongside government funding and community donations to operate.

Family Support Services

Music and Art Therapy

New service awarded funding over three years to provide physiotherapy for children during their hospice stay.
Transport Assistance Service
New trial program for regional families residing far from Malvern to access respite services, partnering with Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Piggy Bank Appeal
Annual fundraising appeal supported by corporate partners including Seven Network, ALH Group, and Commonwealth Bank.
Onsite Family Accommodation
Family accommodation at the Malvern hospice site allowing families to stay close to their children during care.
