The Graham F. Smith Peace Foundation Incorporated
Tips for Applicants
Applicants should clearly demonstrate how their artistic expression (including literature, music, performing arts, visual arts, craft, design, film, video, television, radio, community arts, Aboriginal arts and cultural heritage) tells stories that make a difference in areas such as human rights, social justice, Aboriginal sovereignty, and environmental sustainability. For South Australian applicants, highlight potential partnerships with local arts organisations or schools, and specific engagement with Kaurna reconciliation efforts.
Giving Philosophy
The foundation believes in supporting artists within Australia who challenge and change the world for the better through their art. They aim to inspire, motivate, and challenge awareness and thinking about human rights, social justice, Aboriginal sovereignty, and environmental sustainability by fostering creative work.
