Tips for Applicants

Send Expression of Interest emails to grants@warataheducationfoundation.org.au clearly explaining: (1) how your project works and what it aims to achieve, (2) how funding will be used with specific timeline, (3) your organisation's credentials and expertise, (4) a performance reporting framework, and (5) proof of not-for-profit/DGR status. The foundation values frontline work that removes practical barriers to school attendance and favours programs with clear impact measurement. For the Public Ancillary Fund, ensure your organisation's annual turnover is under $1.5 million and that you hold DGR Item 1 status.

Giving Philosophy

Believes every child should have the opportunity to realise their academic potential regardless of socioeconomic background. Focuses on removing practical barriers to education—uniforms, books, digital access—and supporting frontline organisations that work directly with disadvantaged youth. Operates both general grants and a Public Ancillary Fund targeting smaller organisations serving students experiencing financial disadvantage.
