Tips for Applicants

The Graduate Pathway Program is highly competitive (up to 3 selections annually) and requires a complete proposal including bio, project description (max 600 words), and supporting visual/audio materials. Emphasize how your work engages with light, technology, public space, and/or innovation. Applications must demonstrate feasibility for outdoor/public presentation and alignment with the festival's focus on immersive, accessible experiences. South Australian residency and recent graduation (within 5 years) are strict eligibility requirements. The program values accessibility considerations and community engagement.

Giving Philosophy

The foundation operates primarily as an event producer rather than a traditional grantmaker, though it does commission artists and provide career development pathways for emerging South Australian creatives. Their approach focuses on creating accessible public art experiences (with extensive free programming) while supporting local creative industries and fostering innovation at the intersection of art and technology. They demonstrate strong commitment to accessibility and inclusion through relaxed sessions, detailed accessibility guides, and partnerships with Access2Arts.

Notable Grants

Annual commissions to artists including Craig Walsh (Monuments), Robin Fox (Canopy), Chris Petridis (Fracture, First Light), Jayden Sutherland (Urban Echoes), Amelia Kosminsky (Phantasma) for Night Visions 2025
Graduate Pathway Program commissions of $7,000 per early-career South Australian artist (up to 3 annually)
