Applicants should clearly demonstrate how their project aligns with promoting educational excellence, language and cultural studies, and international understanding. Focus on benefiting youth and the financially disadvantaged in Western Australia, keeping in mind the foundation's small annual giving.

Giving Philosophy

The foundation values excellence in education, cultural exchange, and fostering global understanding. It seeks to create opportunities for students, particularly those who are financially disadvantaged, to engage in language and cultural studies and promote international cooperation.

Asian Languages Student Award

Grantopen

Awarded annually in conjunction with the Department of Education to a government school student intending to study an Asian language at university, with funds designated for in-country study.

Post Secondary Education Award

Grantopen

An annual award coordinated by the Western Australian Secondary School Executives Association (WASSEA) for up to five Year 12 public school students to assist their continuation into tertiary education (university or TAFE).

Language Teachers' Award

Grantopen

A biennial award for language teachers to enhance their knowledge of languages and/or language teaching pedagogy. Applications are invited in February of every second year.
