Tips for Applicants

Apply through their online portal at 'My Account'. Multi-year grants require satisfactory annual progress reports for continued funding. One-year grant recipients must submit acquittal reports within 12 months of receiving the grant or within 3 months of project completion if earlier. The foundation values strong ongoing relationships with grant partners and strategic alignment with their FY25-30 strategy focusing on Victorian health and wellbeing outcomes. Consider which of their four grant streams best aligns with your work - grassroots capacity building, innovative projects, early career research, or place-based initiatives.

Giving Philosophy

The foundation takes a strategic, relationship-focused approach to grant-making that remains faithful to founder Sir Jack Brockhoff's vision. They emphasize fostering strong partnerships with grant recipients to amplify impact on health and wellbeing, with a focus on enabling communities to thrive. Their FY25-30 strategy reflects enhanced grant-making approaches including capacity building for grassroots organizations, innovative project funding, and support for early career medical researchers.
