Tips for Applicants

As a fundraising body for the State Library of NSW, the Foundation does not offer grants to external applicants. Instead, it seeks donations to support the Library's internal programs and collections. Potential donors can contribute online, via direct deposit, or by mail, or consider leaving a bequest.

Giving Philosophy

The Foundation is dedicated to ensuring the State Library of NSW remains a relevant and accessible 'living library' for future generations. It focuses on raising funds to improve access to the Library's collections through digitisation and storytelling, acquire and preserve vulnerable born-digital materials, and expand educational programs for young people, particularly in regional and rural NSW. The Foundation emphasizes that donations contribute to sharing, building, and conserving the Library's invaluable collections.
