Tips for Applicants

Given the organisation is winding up operations by December 2025, new applications are unlikely to be accepted. However, the mission continues through SHIFT Next (www.shiftnow.org/next), where the Youth Solidarity Fund's work will continue. Those interested should explore opportunities with SHIFT Next rather than The Oaktree Foundation.

Giving Philosophy

The foundation believed young people are driving change today, not just future leaders. It focused on redistributing power and resources directly to youth-led organisations in the Asia-Pacific, providing core funding to help stabilise and grow grassroots movements led by young people in education, mental health, climate justice, and gender equity.

Financial Details

Source of Wealth
The foundation appears to have relied on donations from the public, corporate partnerships, and fundraising initiatives. As a youth-led organisation, it likely received support from individual donors, community fundraising, and potentially government grants.
