Description
Development of an Ultra-High Resolution Mass Spectrometry Imaging System. Through close industry collaboration, this project aims to develop new mass spectrometry technologies for label-free imaging of tissues and cells at sub-micron resolution. The project expects to generate new knowledge around new ionisation technologies, the spatial localisation of biomolecules within tissues and cells, and the diversity of neuronal cellular responses to neuroinflammation within cell populations. Expected outcomes include strengthening industry collaboration potential for instrumentation development and providing new imaging and single cell analysis tools. Benefits include increased technological capability of Australian spatial-omics research and industry training of researchers to cement long-term collaboration. . Scheme: Mid-Career Industry Fellowships. Field: 3401 - Analytical Chemistry. Lead: A/Prof Shane Ellis
