Description

The Decolonisation of Literary Culture. This project aims to transform our understanding of literary decolonisation by looking beyond questions of texts and curricula to literary culture as a whole, which encompasses the institutions of dissemination, evaluation, and pedagogy, and the often unseen actors who operate in them such as publishers, critics, and teachers. An archival stream will investigate the long revolution of literary decolonisation in the Caribbean from the nineteenth century to today, and a documentary podcast stream will mentor First Nations and CALD practitioners to tell the unfolding story of literary decolonisation in Australia. Discoveries will be readily accessible to the community, cultivating public appreciation of profound shifts in our literary culture.. Scheme: ARC Future Fellowships. Field: 4705 - Literary Studies. Lead: A/Prof Ben Etherington
