Description

Transforming cities for Indigenous Peoples' social and emotional wellbeing. This Laureate Fellowship will establish an Australian first, Urban First Nations Research Agenda, that is transdiciplinary and privileges Indigenous methodologies. Research will be conducted through four work packages: (i) building pride and identity within cities through truth-telling; (ii) economic participation and development; (iii) environmental and urban sustainability with Indigenous knowledges; and (iv) establishing data systems and infrastructure. The Laureate Fellowship aims to support the current and future social and wellbeing of urban First Nations Peoples and will create a lasting legacy, with the establishment of an Australian First Nations Urban Research Centre and a next generation of First Nations researchers. .
