Description

Innovating a new framework for Indigenous-led climate adaptation strategies. This Indigenous-led project aims to design climate adaptation strategies to help future-proof Australian communities. Collaborating with Indigenous knowledge holders, this interdisciplinary approach responds to calls from researchers for better integration of Indigenous knowledges to bridge the science-policy interface. With a case study in northeast Tasmania, this project will implement and advance an innovative framework, the Kin and Country Framework. Expected outcomes include the development of novel approaches to designing climate adaptation strategies applicable throughout Australia. Outputs include facilitator resources, academic publications and presentations, and activation of partnerships for wider implementation and translation..
