Description

Mass Analysis Facility for Precision Molecular Science. This project aims to address a critical analytical gap in South Australia by establishing a high-resolution mass spectrometry facility for molecular imaging and high-throughput chemical analysis of complex mixtures. This facility is expected to create a nexus between disciplines, enabling new insights into the molecular composition of functional materials and complex biological systems. Key outcomes include widely accessible, future-proof instrumentation that will significantly accelerate research in sustainable materials, catalysis, environmental remediation, wine production, protein folding, and neuroscience. Scientific innovation in these areas are expected to generate new knowledge and benefit the environment and Australian industry.. Scheme: Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities. Field: 3403 - Macromolecular and Materials Chemistry. Lead: Prof Justin Chalker
