Description

Cybersecurity for Indigenous Communities . This project aims to investigate the impact of digital transformation, cyber risks and challenges for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations. It will co-design an evidence-based grassroots cyber capacity model and tool-kits for those communities and organisations. Expected outcomes include a model and tools to enable them to individually and independently analyse and improve their cybersecurity within specific cultural, social and economic contexts to realise Indigenous Data Sovereignty. Significant benefits would include empowering Indigenous communities by reducing harm from financial, psychological, and social perspectives, and evidence for future national strategies in cyber resilience and data sovereignty. . Scheme: Discovery Indigenous. Field: 4604 - Cybersecurity and Privacy. Lead: Prof Christopher Lawrence
