Description

Mobile device for rapid deployment and removal of forever chemicals. This project aims to develop a mobile system for efficient removal of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). PFAS contamination poses a significant health issue in Australia, yet existing remediation methods often face efficiency limitations and require substantial capital investment for plant upgrades. This project seeks to address these limitations by designing an efficient mobile membrane device capable of selective and continuous PFAS removal in diverse water matrices. Expected outcomes include a fully integrated, field-deployable mobile membrane system with demonstrated technical, economic, and environmental benefits. This innovative approach will advance PFAS remediation capabilities, supporting a cleaner future for Australia.. Scheme: Linkage Projects. Field: 3403 - Macromolecular and Materials Chemistry.
