Description

Molecular engineering of boron nanomaterials for future technologies. Boron based nanomaterials have novel properties, but it has been challenging to develop controllable fabrication. This project aims to fabricate boron nanomaterials with the desired following features, in single or multiple aspects: thickness, composition, lateral sizes, porosity, surface area and functionality. The project will advance our fundamental knowledge in materials chemistry, chemical engineering, materials engineering and physics. It is expected to take us closer to unlocking the potential of boron nanomaterials for real-world applications in, for example, water treatment, electronics and catalysis.. Scheme: Discovery Projects. Field: 4016 - Materials Engineering. Lead: Prof Zhenguo Huang
