This project intends to use qualitative methods to explore LGBTQ people’s experiences in outer suburbs and discover how local government policy and action impacts LGBTQ wellbeing and community connection and how these can be improved. Expected outcomes of the project include identifying approaches to LGBTQ-inclusion in outer suburban areas that can be translated into policy. It should provide significant societal benefits, enhancing local government responses to diversity and inclusion and promoting social cohesion and suburban liveability.. Scheme: Discovery Projects.
