Applicants must propose projects addressing natural disaster preparation or recovery in one of four categories: Training and planning, Community Recovery, Environment and wildlife, or Equipment and Infrastructure. The grant provides up to $25,000 per project, with $1.2 million distributed annually across two rounds (February-March and August-September 2026).
