Description

SA Spectromicroscopy Facility: From Band Mapping to Atomic Scale Imaging. This proposal aims to establish Australia’s first advanced spectromicroscopy facility capable of energy filtered momentum space imaging of advanced materials in real time. The facility will enable the direct correlation between electron band-structure of advanced materials with device function. This is essential for understanding the electron transport in materials including topological insulators and transistors for quantum computers; nanomaterials for energy storage devices and catalysis, and geoscience. The investment will ensure innovation in Nanotechnology, Characterisation, and Advanced Manufacturing that is crucial for Australian to remain competitive in the global market.. Scheme: Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities. Field: 1007 - Nanotechnology. Lead: Prof Sarah Harmer
