Description

Revolutionizing Extracellular Vesicle Research: A Single-Particle Approach. This project aims to address a major technical challenge in studying small extracellular vesicles (sEVs): the need for an integrated method to purify, detect, and sort them at single vesicle level. By combining the new digital colloid-enhanced Raman spectroscopy with microfluidics to create “Raman-sEV-Flow,” this project will provide a transformative solution for high-precision sEV analysis and sorting. The project is expected to generate new knowledge of how cells communicate and offer new insights on their potential as biomarkers and nanocarriers. The expected outcomes include a better understanding of sEV heterogeneity and insight into how sEVs can be used in biotechnology with commercial benefits to the Australian biotech industry..
