This grant provides funding to Chambers of Commerce, industry associations/groups, and local councils to deliver locally tailored events in regional and remote Queensland during Queensland Small Business Month 2026 (1–31 May 2026). Events must include practical skills and capability uplift, one-on-one business support, or opportunities to connect with government programs and/or local stakeholders.

This pilot program aims to assist small and family-owned construction businesses in Queensland to employ and retain eligible apprentices by reimbursing a portion of apprentice wages while apprentices attend training. The pilot is designed to ease cost pressures associated with training, support apprentice retention and completion, and help address skills shortages in the construction sector.

This program supports small and family businesses by funding safety and security measures to deter crime and reduce economic losses. It aims to create safer public commercial precincts and business strips, improving the operating environment for businesses and fostering vibrant, secure communities across Queensland.

This grant provides crucial financial support to small businesses in defined disaster areas that have experienced significant disruptions and losses associated with the Western Queensland Surface Trough and Associated Rainfall and Flooding (21 March – 19 May 2025) event. This program is intended to help small businesses that either couldn’t trade or experienced at least a 60 per cent drop in revenue compared to the same time last year.
