About
Uniting Vic.Tas is the community services organisation of the Uniting Church, delivering services and programs across Victoria and Tasmania. We strive to make a difference for individuals, families and communities. Among the many programs and services we provide are two social enterprises - Tadpac Print and Fire & Clay. Tadpac is a registered Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE) providing meaningful employment and a sense of community to people living with a disability. With more than 50 years of experience in the printing industry, we are Tasmania’s go-to business for quality printing. View our services at www.tadpac.com.au. Fire & Clay provides employment for more than 30 adults living with a disability in a supported environment. Based in Lilydale, Victoria, the team produces distinctive, functional and decorative pottery pieces, which are distributed and sold locally. Fire & Clay also offers a creative arts program, with flexible activities to suit all levels of ability. Any profit from our social enterprises is used to support the work Uniting Vic.Tas does in the community. We work alongside people: • Needing safe and secure housing• Who want to manage their mental health• Who want to gain control over their drug and alcohol use• Living with a disability, who want to gain employment and live independently.• Who want parenting support to keep their family safe, together and thriving.• Who are young and want support through counselling, mentoring and life skills to work towards their goals. We offer meaningful work and a sense of community to people living with a disability. This provides greater economic independence, social connection and improved confidence. We are proud that some people use our enterprises as a pathway to open employment, while others appreciate the security and stability and stay with us for their entire working life.
