The enterprise offers case management and therapeutic development with health assistance. Lifestyle Solutions is supporting around 70 people with disabilities in Alice Springs, this includes 20-25 supported employees with the Bindi Enterprise. Situated in the North East Victorian city of Wangaratta since inception in 1975, Merriwa is recognised as a highly progressive social enterprise.Being a community-based enterprise and not subject to ownership by an individual or group of individuals, Merriwa is not constrained by the need to return dividends to its "owners".Instead, Merriwa employs the notion of social dividends to the community by ensuring that a suitable percentage of its profits are invested into the community services and initiatives.

Supported Employment - Mowing,spraying and removing grass and picking up garden waste In a large country area it is important to provide services for the community. This helps them to continue to live a healthy and supported life by taking the pressure of them by having a mowing service that is available to not only the community but also to agencies that support older people to stay at home. Another area we cover is contract work for organisations to spray, cut back scrub and mow grass, we have a larger truck to enable us to load rubbish and remove. Our supported employees feel included in a team environment that gives them a sense of inclusion and satisfaction that they can help others.

Multitask provide employment opportunities for almost 100 people with disability. Northaven is a well respected employment and life skills provider service for people living with disability. We are an NDIS approved provider. Northaven was established in 1969 by local community members and families to create employment, training, life skills and social opportunities for people living with disabilities both within their own home, outside of home and within the wider community of Inverell and surrounding areas. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for people living with disability by offering paid employment opportunities, wherein individuals are trained through formal and on the job training in a work environment while building confidence and dignity, developing personal skills and earning respect in the wider community as an economic contributor to society. Pinnacle provides day program activities, supported employment and respite options in and around Ararat and Stawell. Our disability enterprises provide a wide variety of work such as laundry and linen services, nursery and gift ware retail, garden maintenance, logo branding and embroidery, gift ware printing, club and sports uniforms and commercial contracts. The Supported Employment Enterprises employ people with a disability. The income they receive provides a degree of financial independence, reducing the reliance on government subsidies.Pinnacle is a significant jobs provider, employing 220 full-time, part-time and casual employees equating to 77 EFT, making us one of the largest non-government employers in the Stawell-Ararat region.The enterprises also fill gaps in local business services providing greater purchasing choice for customers. We assist people with a disability to increase their skills and self-esteem by providing opportunities for training, employment and community access/inclusion. The service provides life and leisure experiences. These acquired daily living skills and independence can be transferred to home settings increasing their contribution to the household running. Attending the programs provides an important preoccupation, decreasing the supervisory demands on families.The Supported Employment Enterprises employ people with a disability who enjoy the same working conditions as those in the general workforce. Product Action is an Australian Disability Enterprise employing people with intellectual disabilities. The business was formed in 1986 and while the service has changed to meet the increasingly complex demands of the industry, our mandate remains the same: to provide a quality service for people with disabilities.. . At the same time however, Product Action functions as a business and is competitive within the small business sector. This is in part thanks to assistance from the Federal Government.. . We have many parents, caregivers, service providers, clients and staff who are totally committed to Product Action because they are witness to the benefits the employees get from coming to work. They also see a quality service which cares about the people who work for them and great commitment from the supported employees. Product Action is a small ADE which, very successfully, provides employment opportunities and skills development for individuals with an intellectual disability, so that they can actively participate in the workforce and increase social independence. St Vincent Industries has been operating as a Social Business since 1972, providing employment, training and support for people with a disability. We are the leading manufacturer and supplier of cleaning cloths and recycled rags in southern Tasmania, with a varied customer base supplying over 600 clients across Tasmania. Our site in North Hobart employees more than 35 people to produce quality rag products to customers across Tasmania, offering paid employment and nationally recognised training to people with a disability, in an environment that provides the support they need to reach their full potential in the workplace.

Tastex Knitwear produces high quality School, Corporate and fashion knitwear and embroidered items. We also manufacture knitted "Envirowoolly" native animal toys made from recycled woollen off-cuts. Tastex Knitwear produces quality Tasmanian Knitwear & Embroidery which is marketed mainly in the school, corporate & Government Sectors. Tastex contributes to the Tasmanian economy, marketing our knitwear both throughout Tasmania and interstate. Tastex provides employment for 27 Tasmanians, 18 of our employees have an intellectual disability. Tastex provides ongoing training, employment and support for our Supported Employees. We provide recognised traineeships and in-house training in Textile Production which improves skills and future employment opportunities. Tastex also provides training in Life Skills which enables our Supported Employees to work towards living independently within the community.
