Since 1993 BASE Services has been providing lunchtime meals to people who may lack the facilities, resources, skills or finances to make a meal for themselves. In 2016 we asked what if instead of providing meals, we provided opportunities to people to make a meal for themselves and launched 2nd Shot a social enterprise providing hospitality training to people experiencing homelessness and long-term unemployment.

The Karma Collective offers a range of ethically and locally crafted gifts, accessories and homewares. We employ people who face barriers to work, and we donate 50% of profits to help animals and protect threatened habitat. Our signature products are our hand-poured candles, and we also offer a range of corporate gifting solutions. We exist to create gifts that give back.

Vanguard Laundry Services (VLS) is a world-class social enterprise commercial laundry based in Toowoomba, purpose built to provide jobs and career opportunities for people with an experience of mental illness who struggle to secure work. VLS creates job opportunities for people with a lived experience of mental illness with the majority of these people not having worked in five years or more.
