Innovation Unit is a not-for-profit social enterprise (a registered charity in Australia) with offices in Melbourne, Perth, Auckland and London. We partner with people, communities and organisations to address complex challenges, develop new solutions and create social impact at scale. Our participatory and collaborative approaches are informed by 15 years of partnerships and projects in local and international contexts.

We offer hampers, giftboxes & event goodie bags featuring products that are manufactured and dispatched by women in our paid training program or procured from local suppliers. We create custom branded products and offer anything from staff & client on-boarding gifts to settlement gifts. We are staffed by women who are experiencing homelessness as a result of domestic & family violence.

The enterprise manages native title assets and funds, often derived from land use agreements, to support the cultural and socio-economic development of the Jurruru community.

The Underground Collaborative exists to educate, empower, and provide employment to break the cycles of homelessness for women and young people experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. Our Employment Program provides 6-12 months of job readiness, training, mentoring, employment and support with permanent housing.

Operates venues and manages events

Generates revenue through land use agreements, commercial arrangements, androyalties from responsible development on traditional lands while reinvesting proceeds into community programs and cultural preservation.

The enterprise earns revenue through management of native title rights and interests, while delivering social value by protecting and advancing Indigenous cultural heritage and land rights.
